Just Communities advances justice by building leadership, fostering change, and dismantling all forms of prejudice, discrimination, and oppression.
According to author Glenn Singleton, in order to achieve equity we need to have “courageous conversations about race.” Just Communities’ Courageous Conversations creates a monthly meeting space for honest self-reflection and dialogue about issues related to racism and other forms of oppression. People come together to support each other and hold each other accountable in our efforts to become powerful advocates for racial justice. We believe that this internally focused work is a key component of social change.
Thank you for even allowing us to have these conversations. It's important to see both sides of the issues.
