Carpinteria Valley Arts Council

Organization Mission

The mission of the Carpinteria Valley Arts Council, now known as the Lynda Fairly Carpinteria Arts Center, is to foster diverse community involvement, nurture the creative process and its appreciation, provide educational opportunities, and establish a center for the arts to enhance and enrich the quality of life in the Carpinteria Valley.

Social Change Project:
Arts Education for All Children

As a community arts center, an important part of our mission is ensuring that arts education is accessible to all members of our community. Our robust offering of workshops and classes includes summer arts camp, after-school arts, poetry, music, and special, one-time arts events for children and teens, regardless of their ability to pay. Funds raised through S.B. Gives! will allow us to expand our ability to provide arts programming for all children and teens in the community who wish to attend.

The variety of art programs offered at the Carpinteria Arts Center has allowed my children the opportunity to explore many different areas of their creativity. My son Joaquin, through the Carpinteria Arts Summer Camp, fostered his love of visual arts but also fell in love with drama/acting this summer. We were very fortunate to have received scholarships for both of my sons to attend camp this past summer. Without this assistance, we would not have been able to afford to have them attend.
