AHA! inspires communities to feel safe, seen, celebrated, and emotionally connected. We equip teenagers and adults with social-emotional intelligence to transform schools and communities into welcoming, nourishing spaces where all work together toward the highest good.
In AHA!’s 20 years, our approach to social-emotional learning (SEL) has been singularly recognized for improving campus climate and reducing student conflict. In our experience, reaching adults alongside youth is the most effective path to long-term change. Thus, in addition to training teachers, we wish to expand our parent group offerings. Today’s teens face unprecedented anxiety, and parents are experiencing parallel tension. AHA! Parent Groups will offer tools to recognize red flags in youth; to intervene in cyberbullying/digital addiction; to communicate; and especially to model positive coping strategies for their children. When adults and teens work together on social-emotional intelligence at school and at home, the possibilities are boundless.
I cannot express how much AHA! has meant to my daughter and our whole family. From the first orientation, she was comfortable, engaged and excited…what a gift you are to the young people and families who are lucky enough to be part of your program.
